I'm Anthony Romero, the creator of BeginnerBody.com. My background is actually finance but about 10 years back I decided to pull a 180 and left finance behind for greener pastures in fitness and haven't looked back! I have 2 personal training certifications (ACE and NCSF) and 10+ years of experience.
The inception of BeginnerBody can be traced back almost 10 years now from my career in personal training.
Over the years I began to really see there was a consistent trend with many of my new clients; They legitimately had NO CLUE about anything fitness-related.
And age played no factor in this, the range was as young as teens, as one would expect, but shockingly as old as 80! And everyone in between.
I had client after client after client come to me without the slightest idea of how to exercise in any capacity or how to eat a balanced healthy diet.
And though there are literally countless websites dedicated to fitness, I couldn't seem to find any in particular that really only focused on beginners and the fundamentals of fitness and nutrition.
Thus, BeginnerBody was born!
Over the past 10+ years now I have worked with hundreds of clients and a majority of them being true beginners.
I am in constant and continual search of how best to approach working with beginners most efficiently.
The goal is to effectively establish a base foundation for beginners to work from.
BeginnerBody provides persons new to physical fitness and healthy eating a blueprint to creating a solid foundation in these areas.
Over many years and many iterations we have designed a 3 month, all-encompassing beginner program that will guide you in building this foundation.
Our program is easy to follow and designed specifically with pure beginners in mind. The program can easily be fast tracked or slowed to your pace. Though we market it as “3 months", ultimately the completion pace is up to the user.
Simplicity and ease of implementation was the goal when designing the program. Getting started is without question the biggest barrier for anyone.
Therefore getting started correctly and easily, for most people, is the preferred way. Another big hurdle for beginners is sticking to the program.
We have found over the years that everyone has their own pace for maintaining consistency, which is why the program can easily be altered to accommodate anyones pace.
